Walmer Yard – Holland Park, London

A critically acclaimed development of four houses in Holland Park, designed by the renowned academic architect Peter Salter. Walmer Yard’s complex design of materials and form has meant that we needed to work closely with the designer to develop ideas and practices to ensure that the buildings remain true to the vision for the project. Throughout the project, this vision remained quite fluid which meant that Shaw had to deal with numerous changes and tweaks to the design during the entire construction process. The experience and craftsmanship of Shaw Building Group inclusive of our own joinery division has enabled the completed buildings to truly reflect the original concept and brought acclaim from critics and others that have had the opportunity to view, as well as being shortlisted for the Concrete Society Awards 2015, and awarded a RIBA National Award in 2017. See our Awards Page for more info. The Walmer Yard houses are available to rent by the night either by house or as an entire venue. The site has already held some very special events – if you are looking for somewhere exceptional to stay or to host an event why not visit the Walmer Yard website here
